During the General Assembly held in Zagreb from 9 to 12 October, the European University Sports Association (EUSA) elected a new Executive Committee for the 2025–2029 term, following the discharge of the previous board.

The newly elected members will take on leadership responsibilities, guiding the organisation’s activities and initiatives over the next four years.

Haris Pavletic (CRO), previously serving as the 1st Vice-President, has been elected as EUSA’s new President. With extensive experience in university sports, Pavletic is expected to provide strong leadership and strategic direction, helping the organisation continue its growth and development. His election represents a new chapter for EUSA, bringing fresh perspectives to its governance.

Bruno Barracosa (POR) has been elected 1st Vice-President, a position that supports the President, contributes to the organisation’s strategic direction, and represents EUSA in various capacities as required.

Francis M.M. Cirianni (ITA) has been re-elected as Treasurer, continuing to oversee the organisation’s financial management. His re-election reflects the confidence of the assembly in his expertise and dedication to maintaining EUSA’s fiscal stability.

Julia Zlatkova (BUL) has been elected as Student Representative.

The newly elected members of the Executive Committee also include:
• Hemma Angerer (AUT)
• Aitor Canibe Sanchez (ESP)

The Assembly also elected two Auditors, re-electing Hovhannes Gabrielyan (ARM) and Liviu Marian Matac (ROU), with Matjaz Pecovnik (SLO) in the position of Secretary General.

Under the new leadership, EUSA aims to further strengthen its impact on university sports across Europe, with a focus on promoting inclusivity, increasing participation, and fostering a vibrant sporting culture within academic institutions.

Strong collaboration among the Executive Committee, National University Sports Associations (EUSA Members), Universities and higher education institutions (EUSA Associated Members), strategic partners, as well as participants and volunteers, will be essential in advancing the organisation’s mission and achieving its strategic objectives over the coming term.
